In 2012 I was asked by the Head of School at Good Shepherd Episcopal School to develop a summer camp program that would increase community exposure and lead to new student enrollment. The program had to be affordable, engaging and interesting to families with children ages 4 to 14. Most importantly, the camp program needed to be cost neutral or profitable without any school subsidy besides access to existing families.
In 2013 we launched a full camp program for local area families. Specialty camps, including a Cookie, Bread, Dinner and Archeology Camp, achieved full enrollment and brought the school both earned media and city-wide enrollment.
The camp program was retired in 2015 due to a change in school leadership and direction.
